We recently had EWI installed on our property and the difference in energy usage has been impressive.
Comparing the same period year-on-year, our heating consumption has dropped by around 41%, while hot water usage has remained consistent. The house now holds heat much better, and we’re already seeing noticeable savings on our electricity.

This property was upgraded using the Baumit StarSystem with 50mm EPS insulation to improve thermal performance and reduce heat loss, whilst freshening up the exterior.
The system creates a more efficient building, helping to lower energy costs and maintain a consistent indoor temperature.
Finished with a clean white topcoat, the result is a modern, refreshed exterior with long-lasting protection and improved overall performance.
Process
Knock off the original bell beads, so we could set the new bell lower and decrease the size of the plinth.
Stick the 50mm insulation boards (EPS) using StarContact, then mechanically fix using pins.
1st coat using StarContact White, bedding in the reinforcement mesh.
2nd coat with StarContact White, leaving a smooth finish ready for the Silicone TopCoat
Silicone TopCoat. Giving it a hard and colour finish.
