This is an old out-building/coach house and has recently been given a new lease of life. The aim was simple, freshen it up, but keep it looking traditional.
So, as it was stone, we used a lime render (RK39) and kept the shapes & curves. This was done over 3 coats.
To keep the lime nice and strong, this required lots of wetting down, so it was a case of several trips out there, morning and night for a few days.
However, it was all worth it. The finish is nice, and it's exactly how the customers wanted it!
Process
1.
1st coat - Fill out the stones
2.
2nd coat - Scratch it, re fill the big gaps/holes and begin forming the corners
3.
3rd coat - Finish it!
